So who benefits?
The Oxted Pram Race raises money for local charitable causes and is founded on the principle of putting something back into the community, which we as local residents draw from it in our daily lives.
In 2007, £15,700 was raised and donated to:
- Oxted Community Hall
- Pastens Childrens Home at Pains Hill
- The Woodhouse Centre in Oxted
- Master Park Management Committee
- Hurst Green Scouts
- Oxted Chamber of Commerce
Beneficiaries for 2008 will be confirmed soon. If you are involved in a local charity and would like to be considered for a donation, send your proposal to info@oxtedpramrace.co.uk by the end of March 2008. Please include details of how your charity benefits the local community and how you would be able to help the Pram Race event. See “How can I help” for further details.
